For nearly 20 years, I’ve worked in the emergency services, and I know firsthand how the daily pressures of this kind of work take a toll — on the body and the mind. The long shifts, the unpredictability, the weight of what we see and carry home with us, all of it adds up over time.

What changed things for me was building a routine around regular exercise along with hot and cold therapy. Together, they became a way to process stress, recover physically, and stay mentally steady through the demands of the job. It’s not a cure-all, but it gave me a tool I could rely on, day after day, year after year.
